The top verticals that do well are gaming,humor/pranks,kids ,reviews/demos,amazing videos etc Don't upload anything that you don't own or that are copyrighted (they are taken down by youtube or you will not get paid) for ex: check this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoiFGva_JoY It is original and simple and got over 30 million views considering an average of $5 per 1000 views..calculate how much the video has earned ! Just think out of the box...you will get ideas and inspirations..from the things around you !

They hardly give 0.1$ per 1000 Indian views. ryt?

Yes,I have said average..my max was $16..but it depends..now youtube has changed it's stats..it is not only counting views but also the total hours watched !
