it doesn't matter man. Chennai is awesome enough to bear this small loss. plus in the future, they will become complimentary.

Sri City/Nellore is not Chennai's competitor. Its not a zero sum game.

one more reason sri city become popular all new coming sez are remote places to chennai where water and electricity is problem in TN...

Well I never said sricity is chennai;s competitor but tamilnadu losing some big investments coz of sricity.

Chennai is now officially beyond asking companies for 'investments'. I don't think TN govts care.

They only don't wish for the playing field to be much more tilted by giving tax concessions to whole states.

SEZs are in TN too, and they get a lot of investments. if you check with skyscrapercity, you'll have a huge list.

But I'll be happy if Nellore can beat Chennai. Then we'll have two awesome cities within 200kms.

yeah, both are huge problems in TN. but they are bigger problems in AP. inspite of availability of water.

TN has the huge advantage of factory networks from where materials can be sourced locally.

ofcourse Maharashtra, Haryana are the best at this. TN comes next. AP is still trying to build one.

Dont compare AP with TN man. DIVIDED AP is no where near to TN in every aspect. TN is far far ahead.

Nellore and Vizag. Next 10yrs interesting to watch man.

Vizag sure but nellore ?

and also what are your views on new singapore capital ?

Tax exemption will hit TN because then companies can simply open their factories in AP, and get VAT exemption.

people who don't understand will say Tamilolla edupu.

understanding how commercial tax works in India is important to know why this will be an issue.

GST pass aithe, then these tax exemptions make sense. But then the entire point of a GST is to avoid these kind of tax exemptions. (the one that AP is keen for)
