CKRAVI Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 This recently happened to us in famous Fernandez hospital in hyderabad. Please don't go to such hospitals. My wife was admitted for cesarean which was supposed to be done by consultant doctor but instead it was done by her junior without informing us. Operation was scheduled around 9:00 AM and we were asked to be there by 7:00 AM. She was kept fasting in waiting room from till 4:00 PM. Surprisingly the consultant doctor was on duty whole day and she did attend the patient saying its not a urgent/complex case. Now after the delivery: My son developed swelling in left leg (thigh) after vaccination. Nurse while giving vaccination twisted the leg and it was fractured (femur bone). Now my new born has to be in cast, which most of us can't even imagine. They took 20 hours to identify the fracture. They informed us about the fracture after they collected the ICU fee from us. (For fracture ICU is not required) Hospital (Fernandez Hyderabad) is not ready to to accept the responsibility. But they are also not able to give any explanation for the cause of fracture. Xray clearly shows it is a twist crack and not due to fall or hit. Worst is they even charged us extra for my sons treatment. This is the pathetic state of indian medical system, even if you seek justice in court it will take decades to get the hospital penalize.
