The film is doing well even in the second week and both mass and class audiences are enjoying the film. This has resulted in good box office collections and the buyers are laughing their way to the banks. According to gossip in trade circles, the film’s producer and hero, Kalyan Ram is likely to make Rs 9 crores after all costs are settled. There has been no major release this week, so the audiences are continuing to watch Pataas. Though Ladies and Gentlemen got decent reviews, the film hasn’t made any revenue. While the makers hoped that it would work in multi-plexes, the film did not leave its mark on urban audiences. On the other hand, Beeruva also failed at the box ofiice. So, Pataas is ruling the box office. It remains to be seen what impact this week’s releases Malli Malli Idi Raani Roju and Gaddam Gang have on the box office. As for next week, Temper is scheduled for realse on February 13. Since it is a big film, all eyes are on NTR Jr’s film for now. And this is surely going to work in favour of Temper as there are no big releases around this time. However, it remains to be seen if Temper can make the most of zero competition.
