Maoist Posted February 9, 2015 Report Share Posted February 9, 2015 Responsible for creation of professional and dynamic SharePoint sites that are easy to use, follow State Farm policies and governance and promote collaboration within the Enterprise. We work directly with business partners, managing requests for design, training, security, and support on a daily basis.. The majority of our workload is site design, information architecture, and collaboration consulting. This includes: • Information Architecture Consulting: creating site Content Types, metadata, navigation, views, filters to solve business partner’s difficulties with content management • Understanding and managing permission structures • Develop OOTB(out of the box) SharePoint solutions to meet requirements • Creation and deployment of custom lists (with or without JavaScript) • Create new workflows and create solutions for business partners, saving them time and resources with workflows • Designing the site structure so users can easily navigate through a site • Building pages, both web part pages and wiki pages • Creation of document libraries, lists, calendars, surveys, wikis, etc • Develop visually pleasing graphics, within branding guidelines • Documenting how a site is built for transition to site owners and long term maintenance •consultation with business partners to determine requirements ***Must have strong verbal and written communication skills- this designer will be working directly with our Internal Business Partners.
