Nellore Pedda reddy Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a mother died and her adult daughter was wounded in a shooting outside Willowbrook Mall, police said. A security guard said around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday he heard a gunshot and found a Toyota Tacoma pickup stopped in front of the Macy's men's store near FM 1960 at FM 249. The guard ran over to the truck and found the two wounded women. Investigators said they believe the daughter was sitting in the driver's seat next to her mother and somehow accidentally shot herself and her mother in the head after she reached underneath her seat to pull out a gun. It's unclear why the woman pulled the gun out, detectives said. The mother died at the scene while her daughter was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said. Anyone with information is urged to contact HPD homicide at 713-308-3600 or Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
