First off all not all Muslims or all countries speak Urdu. Only north Indian belt I.e Pakistan,parts in north India and teleangana in south speak or write urdu, Urdu originated from Hindi with mix of lot of Persian, Arabic words. mughals official language was Persian and hence scripture was derieved from it but a lot of the language is borrowed from Hindi devoid Sanskrit words(at least that was the/intent)./Bengali Muslims doesn't speak Urdu or neither does Muslims in Tamil nadu or costal ap does, they speak their native language
IMO Urdu is another Indian language that is native to some people of some parts in the country.
