# Japan to engage with the state of Andhra Pradesh, and transfer high-technology in agriculture, food processing, cold chains and food parks, along with mega super thermal projects and solar projects.

The island nation on Wednesday conveyed its willingness to develop power projects in the state, which include a 4,000 MW thermal power plant in Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam each, and a 2,000 MW solar power plant in Anantapur. Japan is also prepared to set up an industrial park having a dedicated utility centre (DUC) in AP, the location for which is yet to be finalized.

 

# Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) promised him during Naidu's recent visit there to help AP in inter-city connectivity, water treatment in urban areas and funding Japanese private companies interested in investing in AP, Japanese companies in laying six-lane roads, construction of skyways and building skyscrapers in the capital.

 

# Sumitomo will assist AP in developing its capital city as a smart city. The company will try to get necessary funds for the same. It will also help AP set up “4X1000 mw Coal Fired Power Station” in Srikakulam district by ensuring funding from Japan. The company will help AP in advanced farm mechanisation to enhance productivity, besides assisting in the food processing sector

 

# As per the MoU with Japan’s ministry of economy, trade and industry (METI), METI and relevant governmental organisations will promote direct investment by Japanese companies in AP in urban development, infrastructure, agriculture and food processing

 

# By another MoU, the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organisation (NEDO) of Japan will share information and exchange opinions with AP on smart community (including smart city) activities

 

# Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) will fund Japanese companies interested in investing in AP

interpersonal skills that enable them to request and confirm the

receipt of information, ask for and provide directions, and issue

and respond to invitations. They also develop more cognitively

challenging functional language skills, including the ability to

compare phenomena, express opinions and preferences, and

discuss life experiences. Additionally, students develop a command

of a significant number of the most prevalent kanji characters used

in Japanese writing
