CKRAVI Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 My cousin wants to do his MBBS in University of Northern Philippines which is located in philippines, Since Philippines has an understanding with USA, the course syllabus and academics are on par with USA medical school education. Starting 3rd year the university itself will start preparing the student for clearing the steps exams in US to practice medicine. In 4th year they will bring all the students to a University in US as a exchange student. Course duration 5.5yrs, fees 20lakhs. Adi sangathi, maa vaadu veltha veltha ani baga force chesthunnadu .. mee opinions and suggestions ivvandi.. Thanks, CKRAVI
jpismahatma Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 Philippines is not developed country. No idea about its program Anyway ltt. 20 lacs u can afford. But what is the future??? European countries may be better
just2deal Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 There is additional advantage of studying in Philippines or if the univ has student exchange program with a US university Your cousin is not eligible to practice medicine in India or US with out passing Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) in India or USMLE in USA Important to note is your cousin will not be automatically eligible for US visa in the 4th year. So explore in depth before coming to a decision. The advantage is you can get a MBBS degree at much lower cost than private Colleges in India and also the English spoken in Philippines is similar to that of US (accent).
