Career Decision -----Hadoop Admin Vs Hadoop Developer?

Career decision which one i need to choose because i don't have JAVA skills.

I have Informatica experience. Now i have to move Hadoop side.

 

Which one is good in future/salary (Hadoop admin vs Hadoop developer)

If you don't have core java skills and you are not interested to learn go for Hadoop Admin positions.

 

For Hadoop Development you need to have either Core Java or Python or R skills.But more than 90% of the companies looking for Corejava with Hadoop skills only.

 

Map-reduce kuda inka max one or two years lo vanish avvachu..Spark is coming to replace map reduce..So u need to have Scala or Core Java skills.

 

Even in Pig and Hive if you want to write complex functions,u need to write UDF's(User Defined Functions) with Core Java or Python only...

 

So for Hadoop Development positions ki must and should programming language ravali

 

Consultancy vallu attract cheyyadaniki chala cheptaru..Don't trust on them.
