sam86 Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 states don't have much control over ports, CKRavi. most of them are central funded.. and there's no special tax on containers originating from neighbouring states. k TG will develop a port in TN
lolbob_fan Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 Looks to me this is more of a political move to prove the settlers all is merry between AP and TG .. :3D_Smiles_38: :3D_Smiles_38: It can provide some jobs to TG people. But the business built around the port, like storage yards, will all be controlled by Andhras, and will create a mini economy there.

As I said seems more like a political move , because Port a pettalante ekkadaina petkovachu
lolbob_fan Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 Hyderabad has such a grand airport. Its better to focus on turning it into a aircargo hub. the only problem is its too far from the city

Its better to focus on turning it into a aircargo hub. the only problem is its too far from the city I think it is going to change with all the ITIR projects in and around pocharam, adibatla etc
lolbob_fan Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 An importer/exporter doesn't select which port he'll use. Most of the work is done by shipping agents. and is dependent on the queue in the container terminal. TG has nothing to fear. AP can't cockblock its sea view :) Unless CBN is stupid enough to start levying special tax on containers originating from Hyderabad, then he'll be pulled up by the central govt.

Good to know.. do you have experience in import/export business..
lolbob_fan Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 May be KCR wants to have a power plant or something, and wants steady supply of coal from Aus or Indonesia. even then, this proposal borders on the absurd. krishnapatnam will be more than happy to serve Hyderabad, even if Vizag wouldn't.
lolbob_fan Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 Good to know.. do you have experience in import/export business.. used to. but not in India.
