KeyserSoze Posted February 24, 2015 Report Posted February 24, 2015 Hong Kong, Japan, Seoul, To an extent Singapore. agree westerners are used to a better lifestyle than the asians above, but still there's no problem with providing services for an increasing population. if anything, the more people congregate at a place, the better services get. all the above South east asian countries u mentioned have horrific standards of living.....only rich people in those countries have better lifestyle...avg people there have to work 26 hrs a day to get basic amenities. I lived in SGP and avg person on the street there is frustrated and is mechanically tuned work just to earn little and give most of what he earned back to govt in the form of taxes and high cost of living.

US/Canada is a blight on the world.

That's the same with HKG, Taipei etc too. There's clear demarcation between the rich, the poor, and the avg monotonous person with basic pay who stays put in debt all along to sustain a decent living. Plus, the added taxes make it unbearable. Pretty much the same as Cali from a real estate perspective as well. I don't see anything enticing about these at all
lolbob_fan Posted February 24, 2015 Author Report Posted February 24, 2015 ofcourse one may ask, if Europe is so amazing where talented engineers work for a pittance, why not companies go and set up there. why US? because US is a more unified economic engine than Europe. plus, the obvious problem of sharing one currency across countries cripples the Eurozone. Credit is not available so easily there.

Much to everyone's chagrin, the whole <my nation, then my EU, and then rest of the world> viewpoint added to the comparatively low pays make'em a whole lot less appealing for someone who hasn't completed basic education there
