No make multiple investments from outside , hopefully we wil susceed in doing that ,people will get jobs and will be paid money for eg 20 to 30 k
now , basic things is FOOD thats why most people work
unfortunately u killed ur food source , the cost of food goes up , now you spend 10 times the money to import your food , once the prices goes up there would be demand
people who make money can get food and those who don't will not

Problem is what if the demand dies off after handing over the plots to farmers, what will they do? They can't hold on for long that is for sure because it is all what they have. Rich guys will become richer again by buying those plots at throw away prices from them. There are a lot of if's in this equation. First government is doing business with poor peoples land, second government is not telling what is the deal it made with capitalists behind close doors. Thirdly a lot is dependent on center for funds and how are delays addressed - is there a defined timeline that the farmers would get their share by so and so date no matter what.

30K acres is not a problem but it is a problem when it is the most fertile track in the whole country. Show me a place in India where they grow 100 varities of foods three times a year?

Chandigarh took 25 years and it was not built on some back door deals of land pooling and captilist involvement, to begin with the farmers there are uber rich and they were able to drive the economy and city forward. still it is no where near to be rgd as top tier city in India

its administrative capital for both the States of Punjab and Haryana...

 

During partition Lahore went to Pakistan (like how hyd went to TG).

 

To have a capital they selected chandigarh....and then when Punjab and Haryana split it became a common capital as its in middle of both the states.

 

If you take chandigarh as an example....then one of the urban planner of chandigarh itself said that turning farm lands to concrete capital city is not right...

I can't guarantee it, but I agree with TS as he pointed out it is equivalant gambling or stocks, the outcome will be better for richer people who can hold on for long, as a lot is riding on the speculatoin, for the plan to be a success nearly a million or two will have to move in to capital city, when you don't have economic setup how do you get there? comerically vizag is there already, already chitoor and nellore guys are more inclined to Chennai than Vijaywada or Hyd, similarliry anantapur folks are heavily invested in bangalore and karnool in Hyd. For this plan to be vaible you need atleast 20 years minimum and can't you see the poor farmers will be vanished in no time as they will sell off what they get at throw away prices and  they will be left pennyless becuase of their poor money management.

 

I am not against 30k acres but why adamant on the place when you are building the city from scratch anyways
