i like Wireshark....

 

i like the concept of dragging a request in composer tab of fiddler and execute to replay.. there is an add on called fiddler to code, it converts the request to c# and i do a parallel loop of say 2000 requests to see how its behaving in test environment.

 

if any good tutorials on wireshark , let me know.. i like to play with new tools

go with  HTTP 1.1  protocol  

to look at some network statistics use Fiddler  tool.. seems the ask is more than that.. you can research on better way to show output of throughtput 

imnplementing a web server , we had a complete course on it, but you can try online for java webserver implementation code..
