CKRAVI Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 HYDERABAD:US ambassador to India Richard Verma called on chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao here on Tuesday and held discussions on several issues of mutual interest. Both the leaders sought to deepen bilateral ties. They reviewed the progress of construction of new and permanent US Consulate building in Gachbowli. Stating that several students from Telangana were studying in America, Verma said industrial community, world over, were attracted to Hyderabad city. Highlighting the ties between Telangana and the United States, he pointed out that spare parts for American President Barack Obama’s chopper were designed in Hyderabad. In response, Rao said Hyderabad has emerged as the hub for production of defence equipment as early as 1960. The conducive environment like its geographical location, earthquake-free location has resulted in mushrooming of several industries in the city, he reasoned. :police: :police: :police:
