lol. adhi sare le.

ikkada point ochi. what is the best model for development.

building infra, and waiting for investment to pour in.. or invest lot more on local people's health and nutrition, and hope they have better lives and consequently improve economic activity.

There's always give and take. TN has titled the other way from AP on this, and it has served them wonderfully well.

anthe nenu antundi.

Building Infra-------> attracts new investments---->creates more jobs---->inturn increase economy-----> whc inturn help government to invest in poor

not vice versa.....

airports are not totally built by govt. it private public partnership. govt should invest in infrastructure and industrialization. that will create jobs and demand for labour which will lead to better salary. with better salary should enable the poor to come to lower middleclass and so on. jobs and better pay will enable people to give themselves basic education and healthcare for family.

No use of govt hospitals where docs don't come.no use of govt schools where teachers don't attend

what is private investment?

but quasi public investment. because no private party (unless FDI) will put their own money. They'll borrow from local banks.

I'm not saying private investment is bad. But it is bad when the infra is not as useful.

Does Hyd or even Chennai need a metro?

creates jobs to who? to people who are skilled. what if skill level is low. and people are too sick to work.

which leads to my question. what is the govt's spending on basic education, and health.

Central govt already showed it. 0.4% of gdp in the current budget.

dude why is a metro useless infra?

first its a service to public tax payers. it spurs economic activity around the stations. more mnc's will be setup if there is transport facility. employers and employees will prefer to work at places with better transport facility. lets say a international firm from korea wants to setup in s.india it will opt for city with better infra ex metro it will choose hyd instead of kochi.

when skilled people get jobs in a  city it will create indirect employment.

when skilled people come to a city, apartments will come up so they need servants, daycare people, delivery boys as demand for them increase their pay also increases. malls/hotels will come up in such localities think how many people for small towns can get jobs there. i can list at least 20 things.

why all this happened? because skilled people got jobs in the area. because  of setting up an office as there is good infra there.
