why is it sensible to take a single after you hit a century?

why not try another boundary?

why is commentary in sports so mediocre. especially in cricket.

I miss richie benaud.

i understand commentary standards went down the hill after India's power in cricket rose.

because to see the game the way you describe is to not appreciate several other moments in the game.

This is like a stock response to a single that batsman takes after he reaches his century.

the best thing any commentator can do is to atleast stop mentioning it.

nuvvu aa commentry eeda innavo telvadu kani....usually they say when batsmen scores a century playing on the merit of the ball till then and slog once they reach 100.

they expect a sensible batsmen to play on the merit of the ball even after reaching hundred so that he can score big like 150 and 200 rather than slogging a good ball and giving the wicket away.
