biscuitRAJA000 Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 The reputation of India and it's men had gone for a toss with the recent release of "India's Daughter" documentary film by BBC, UK. Though it wasn't clearly highlighted, the media all over the world has already drawn conclusions from the film and thrown bad light on the behavior of Indian men. With many rape cases being registered in India every day, the negative projection can't be avoided. The latest incident of an Indian student getting a denial for an internship by a German University has hit the headlines today. As per the reports, a male student from India has applied for an internship at Leipzig University, Germany. He was shocked to see a weird reply from a female professor and has shared the same on social media. His application got denied because he comes from a country with rape problem - says the sources."Unfortunately, I don't accept any Indian male students for internships. We hear a lot about the rape problem in India which I cannot support. I've many female students in my group, so I think this attitude is something i cannot support," said the professor. This case gives enough hints for us about the change in perceptions about Indian men by Western communities. Whether the reputation of India got damaged beyond redemption has to be seen now! -
