timmy Posted March 11, 2015 Author Report Posted March 11, 2015 Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla, ex-coal secretary P C Parakh and three others were today summoned as accused by a special court in a coal scam case.Former Coal Secretary P C Parakh on Wednesday said it came as a 'surprise' to him.He said that court has its own methods of working and it's not appropriate to comment on that, Parakh said. "I have submitted all the necessary details to CBI," he said.

"I am upset but this is part of life," he told reporters reacting to this, "I have always said I am open for legal scrutiny. I am sure the truth will prevail and I will get a chance to put forward my case with all the facts. I have confidence in Indian judicial system and in a fair trial I am sure I will be able establish my innocence" Singh added.
