With regarding to Capital Construction for the residue State of Andhra Pradesh, Singapore Republic’s involvement is coming into discussions in both media and presently in the ongoing budget sessions of Assembly of AP. For the sake of political gains, the opposition party leader YS Jagan is making baseless allegations that Naidu has sold out the capital region interests to Singapore for vested interests in real estate business.

Let’s now talk about facts with clarity. First of all, AP isn’t dealing with private realtors or organisations from Singapore. AP government’s capital development deal is with Singapore government and talking about corruption or foulplay is almost out of question when the dealing is with the Republic of Singapore. So, real estate gains allegations go pointless.

Secondly, here Singapore is at bigger risk to deliver. Though Singapore had developed a world class capital for itself, it had yet to prove itself in international market by taking up something very prestigious to compete with countries like China. Earlier Singapore’s Changi Airport pulled away from building the Delhi’s International Airport, quoting the unrealistic comfort levels. But this time, they need to deliver.

The third point here comes in case of corruption. With Singapore government involved, the corruption is impossible. Here Singapore had to build for themselves an evidence to showcase to the international market and hence had to live upto the expectations of AP capital region development plans to sustain its image and also provide for its future image of capability to take up prestigious projects like that in AP.

So, getting into details and coming to a clarity would give more insight on the repeated allegations made on Chandra Babu Naidu over his collaboration with the Singapore government. The understanding is what matters the most, it’s the Singapore Republic involved, not the private organisations. Will Jagan make an attempt to understand the difference?
