The private ongoing rate is beyond Rs7 from private producers and it doesn't for matter for state owned since it is taking money from one pocket and putting in another.

chingchongchu Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 State electricity board is primarliy catagorizied into GENCO(Electircity Generator), TRANSCO(Power Transmission) and DISCOMs(Distribution) There are Private producers that are enlisted like GENCO but TRANSCO and DISCOMS which are govt bodies buy electricity from generators and sell or distribute them to the end customers. The only problem with your argument is the monopoly of govt in power distribution. Its unfair to blame the private players when govt is choking them. obviously they'll sell to the govt at high rates. They have not many other customers to serve.

chingchongchu Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 what hiring are you talking about? the construction is outsourced to BHEL, plant is owned and operated by TSGENCO employees. there's no need for a govt to produce power. or distribute it. It has to be like telecom.
