For eg. Our house in Chennai yields a rent of 8 lakhs an year, and the current market price about 5crores.

 

This makes a rental yield of under 2% for the poor buyer. haha..

 

This is probably much worse in cities like Mumbai.

 

But still I'm the idiot for refusing to buy few prime properties on OMR 6yrs back when they were 1/5th the price.

 

Buying lands is no better. Unless you can monetize it through some business.
