naa vaadana is purely based on number of competitors for a given job.

power producers, even smaller plants like 10mw can be allowed to be built and govt can buy from them at competitive prices (at ideal market conditions)

this metro rail seems to be a gift to L&T .

Ni "encourage competition" funda is not pragmatic...there are plenty of examples for failed private power projects...

State govt ki Metro proj valla , there's a lot of direct benefit .... u knw very well how important proper transportation is to any cities growth...

anyway, I'm sure even your small city will have gdp much higher than Hyd. you can look it up. but again building a metro in Hyd is not such a big deal :)

I think its the best way to do it man without having to spend big govt funds on a proj like that ,

 

City will grow because of this transportation system and after L&T recuperates all its money , it'll handover the project the state govt. , So, down the line the Metro project will be in state's hands too .... 

 

on what basis did they build the other Metro projects in the country ?
