The High Court has rebuked the TS Government on not conducting the GHMC elections. A petition was filed regarding the delay in GHMC elections in High court few months back on which the High Court reacted. In a hearing on this petition, the govt opined that the delay in local body elections is unconstitutional. The advocate of TRS Govt said that the Ward re-organisation is the cause of delay and will conduct elections after it is done. The HC remarked that it will intervene if the election dates are announced sooner.
