JANASENA Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Dr. Singh has been made one of the accused in one of the major scams that shook the country owing to its sheer scale and numbers. Being the then Coal minister, the liability lies squarely on Dr Singh's shoulders to ensure the nation is not robbed off of wealth worth hundreds billions of rupees (Coal scam is estimated to be around 10.67 lakh Crores) . Now either, 1) Dr. Singh was a willing complicit in this scam 2) Dr. Singh knew nothing about the scam Scenario (1) is non-debatable, but in case of scenario (2), it should be a matter of shame for Dr. Singh that despite taking an oath of serving the nations, he was too careless to notice the scam that was taking place right under his watch (or lack of it) In either scenario, he can't be labelled a 'man of integrity' as Congress and many others are claiming him to be. His only chance at redeeming himself lies in him becoming a whistle-blower in the case and co-operating with the judiciary and law enforcement in bringing the bigger fish to the book. This is something he should have done almost a decade back, but he now has a second chance. Time for him to come out clean and show us he is indeed a man of integrity. And by the way, an Italian lady, with her crook company is taking a 'solidarity march' today in support of Dr. Singh. Suffice to say, if the law enforcement expedites its investigations, half of those in the march would be behind the bars themselves. They will have all the time in Tihar to express solidarity with each other.
