This Couple Quit Their Jobs To Live Off-Grid… How They Did It ?

Tiny homes are well on their way to becoming the next big housing craze in America - They're affordable to build, energy efficient, and the perfect space for a couple or new family. As it turns out, there's another bonus to having a tiny house: You can take it with you wherever you go.

Two years ago, Guillaume Dutilh and Jenna Spesard realized they didn’t want to spend another day chasing careers they didn’t love.

Together, they quit their jobs. They took classes in order to learn how to build a customized tiny house, one that was both affordable and ensured a minimal carbon footprint.

The pair furnished the tiny house with cozy appointments to make it feel like home.

They even included a lofted area for their dog.

Construction of both the interior and exterior took about a year to complete.

Once the house was finished, it was time to hit the road. The couple hooked the house up to the back of their truck, and began to travel across country.

The pair has traveled to over 25 states, from Maine to Florida, and California to New York.

They have also traveled at least 180 nautical miles by ferry, from Nova Scotia all the way down to Maine.

The photos from their journey around North America are equally as impressive as the tiny house itself.

The couple even drove their tiny house through the mean streets of New York City - much to the dismay of at least a few taxi drivers.

By taking their house with them wherever they go, Giullaume and Jenna are able to enjoy the magnificence of America from the comfort of their own home.

The couple earns money by writing a blog about their lives, entitled Tiny House, Giant Journey. Fans of the blog even offer their driveways to the couple as a place to park for the night.
