13 Year Old Killed Friend For Rs.200

The police on Sunday arrested a minor boy for allegedly murdering his friend, who had lent him Rs 200, by battering his head with a brick in Madiaon police station area on Saturday evening.

 

Police said the body of 13-year-old Ankit was found lying in a vacant plot in Madiaon area on Sunday morning.

Ankit had lent Rs 200 to his 14-year-old friend about a month ago, and had since been demanding the money back, said a police spokesperson.

On Saturday, Ankit and the friend went to a plot near Subhash School where Ankit threatened to take the boy’s bicycle if he failed to return the money. Then, police said, the boy hit Ankit on the head with a brick and when he threatened to tell his parents then the accused attacked him again. The repeated blows, said police, resulted in Ankit’s death.
