Dear, land acquisition near such locations is not a big problem. Its all power game. But actually what is needed is 'feasibility'.

Do we actually get anything from the ports after constructing them?

See the India's East Coast business - most of it goes to Singapore, Japan, Malaysia. Almost all of it is handled by Kolkata and Chennai Ports. where is the room for new ports buddy?

 

Thats not true. Interms of cargo handled, visakhapatnam port is bigger than chennai and kolkata. Even Gangavaram port which was established near Visakhapatnam is also doing well. It handled 15 million tons of cargo in last year making it one of the top 20 ports in India. Kakinada also handled 10 million tons. Krishnapatnam port is going to be TOP  3 PORTS in India by 2019. It handled 30 million tons last year and projected to handle 41 million tons this year. Chennai is projected to handle 47 million tons. Krishnapatnam port, even though is a new port but it is not far behind Chennai port. Power plants industrial zones are coming up in Donakonda, Capital region. So I see those Bandar Nizampatnam ports or atleast one of those ports replicating success of Krishnapatnam port.
