"We live in the same building - she lives on the 3rd floor and I live on the 4th - that's how we first met 45 years ago and we've been friends ever since. When we were younger we would always get each other excited about trying new things - if any new restaurant opened or a new movie released, we would be the first two to go. It's hard to keep that up now, but still whenever we get the car we try to at least go to different places for an evening walk!"

"What's the best memory you've had with each other?"

"I think it was a few days after my husband passed away and I was sitting at home alone, when she came in with a tray full of my favorite food. She sat with me for hours after eating, talking and just giving me company. I'll never forget that day, because at a time when I felt lost, she made me feel like I wasn't in it alone."
