Andhra Pradesh Government is keen to develop an International Airport at Vizag . An Greenfield international airport is, therefore, likely to come up at Bhogapuram, near Visakhapatnam. The government has already initiated steps and is talking with officials concerned. It has also given green signal for manufacturing of airport spare parts. The government is also keen to upgrade a few more airports in the State apart from modernising the airports in Tirupati, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry.
