athletics Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 no place in India is conducive for startups extent for some extent bangalore, pune and distant hyd, chennai. firstly you need reaseach based institiutons to drive the intial wave like what happened with google, yahoo, facebook etc which will never happen in India as I see no univeristy in India as capable, the second type of start ups are from working professionals who gain knowledge of a domain and come out to form a startup with like minded people for a specific problem/usecase in their domain, this is what most startups are doing in India. What we need is research based univeristies and sponsoring companies for these universities to create out of box thinking and attitude among the youth, but all we have see is greedy Indian IT companies (sorry real estate companies).

I don't know what you mean by not conducive to startups. India is very conducive to certain kind of startups, including non-tech ones.

AP ki no chance :( inka enno startups unnayi kadha. medical equipments, food based, electronics. vizag doesn't have a decent consumer culture for a city of its size. presence of navy should be an advantage. They can be used to create and sell surveillance components.
