In West Godavari district, land acquisition issue meant for certain projects have grabbed political attention. AP government has given green signal for the establishment of NIIT. Apart from this, 500 acres in Potluri, forest lands of Venkatramangudem, 150 acres of assigned land in Nallacharla mandal have been shown to officials of experts committee. In view of these developments, a threatening letter from naxals has reached the revenue office of Nallacharla mandal stating that they should stop the process of taking lands from poor people.
