Yea in btech my friend who is an ST used to read Gita and always tell me that path followed by christianity to reach god is depicted too easy which is very wrong. After two yrs he felt sad that his father became christian to stop heavy drinking.after a year he told his father is still drinking

Sam Harris is a legend. He's as relevant now, as he was 10yrs ago, when I first heard him.

 

However for obvious reasons, Hindus shouldn't be using his arguments to counter christianity, but ills in Hindu culture itself.

Sam Harris is hitting at the core of Xianity. He doesn't care for conversions. He thinks Xianity itself is evil.

 

Buddy, do you have the guts to make this argument to a Xian? Obviously as a Hindu, we find it a bit uneasy to bring this topic up while talking to a Xian. 

 

However, Hindus can imbibe this rational approach to problems in their own religion. Not as a whole. but individually. especially lower caste Hindus with weird rituals.

 

Harris is almost irrelevant to upper class Hindus. and their harmless ways of worshipping wealth and god.

look here how Deepak Chopra is owned by Sam Harris, at around the 9th minute. Deepak Chopra tries to bring in some kind of mysterious god, that is both progressive and scientific, but Sam Harris shoots his kind of god as irrelevant to majority of people.

deepak chopra sounds like those Hindu uncles/grandpas with some knowledge on popular quantum physics we know, who are so sure about Hindu mysticism being the better alternative to abrahamic gods.
