Yes Godavari is pure . It's the human intervention that results in the physical particulate contamination ( through means of pollutants, varying from industrial waste to garbage disposal & many others).. If it's been looked as a waterbody, then the mass congregation will add a nominal to mediocre levels of impurities. Consider the % of discarded effluents and try to compare the afdiirion of a possible 8c to 12crore human dips.. Hmm I don't think it'll add more than 8% when you look at a contamination perspective. However there is a significant level of sin factor that dissolves during this period.
