Disillusioned by the current state of affairs in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), UK-based Kundan Sharma and his wife Saradha Sharma, who had donated the car to party, now want it back. The couple not only donated the car, but also supported the party monetarily from time to time. They even campaigned for the party in the UK and raised funds. Ever since the AAP came to power in the national capital by winning 67 of its 70 assembly seats, the party has been embroiled in an internal crisis that has pitted Bhushan and Yadav against Kejriwal, the party’s best known face. The duo has repeatedly questioned Kejriwal’s supremacy. The blue Wagon-R became famous during Kejriwal’s first stint as Delhi CM, who had turned down an official red beacon car and instead traveled in the hatchback during that time. When German President visited India last year, Kejriwal drove to the German Embassy at Chanakyapuri in the same car. While he was on a dharna outside Rail Bhavan in chilling cold, he sought temporary refuge in the car.
