According to a grapevine, the 14th Dalai Lama (the Guru and Tibetan Buddhist monk) is in talks with a team of TDP senior leaders. Buzz has it that the TDP-led government is contemplating to offer him shelter in the new capital city Amaravati as he's reportedly under troubled waters.

Dalai Lama has moved from Tibet to Dharmashala in Himachal Pradesh and has been staying there with the help of Mahayana Sakha which in turn is against to the principle of Adi Budhism. The latest is that Dalai Lama is now in some trouble. Reports have it that there is a threat to Dalai Lama's life and also his work got affected in Dharmashala. With this, Dalai Lama is said to be eyeing at Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh. Considering its rich heritage and history, Amaravti is significant to Tibetan Buddhists. Buddhist stupa was built during the reign of Ashoka in 200 BCE, was carved with panels that tells the story of Buddha. Even the Dalai Lama conducted a Kalachakra initiation at this location in 2006.

Having said this, the recent report in a leading media has become the talking point. As per the report, Dalai Lama is planning to shift his base to Amaravati and in return he apparently assured to gather a whopping donations of Rs 50,000 Crore. Since the new state of AP is going through a financial crunch, the move might help the state in big way and also turns out to be a hub for tourism and Buddhist monks. Yet all this is just a rumour doing the rounds and there is no official confirmation neither from Buddhist monks nor from the AP Government. Let's wait and watch.
