hehe.. mani is not a creative genius. He's just a smart director who's good at manipulating Chennai's urban upper caste sensibilities. And that too, the 19-25 crowd. Older people who like him, are stuck in some time warp.

 

visual medium's geniuses won't be making movies for the regular crowd. In fact, any genius who's appreciated by a considerable section of population is by definition not a genius. but only a ######.

 

mani makes movies for entertainment - for a particular section. He himself admits this.

 

The only good thing about him is that he doesn't boast about his work.
