Ramdev Baba Bought 706 Tonnes Of Red Sanders

In a stunning revelation, famous spiritual and yoga guru, Baba Ramdev, has been declared the biggest purchaser of the red sanders in the entire country. In a startling feat, Ramdev's Patanjali Yogpeeth of Hardwar even surpassed the Chinese bidders in a recent auction conducted by the AP government.

Official sources say that the Patanjali Yogpeeth shelled out a whopping 207 crores to purchase 706 tonnes of red sanders, including the grade A and grade B qualities. The red sanders are used by the Yogpeeth to manufacture ayurvedic medicines and incense sticks. In the international market, grade A is valued at 1.75 crore per tonne while grade B fetches upto 1.5 crores.

Taking an inspiration from Baba Ramdev, even the government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to use the red sanders to manufacture ayurvedic cosmetics and medicines. The red sanders attract huge international patronage and already, 300 tonnes were shipped to Hong Kong in early April and another 1000 tonnes will be delivered on April 22.

In the wake of the recent encounter of the red sanders smugglers in the Seshachalam Forests, the AP government has also decided to auction off the 2200 tonnes of red sanders confiscated from the smugglers and sell it in an auction. The government also plans to build a huge warehouse which will be set up in a 200 acre land to store the red sanders
