There can’t be a replacement to her beauty. Her expressive face speaks volumes and her innocent looks can’t be forgotten. She can never fade out of our hearts and remains as a beautiful memory in the pages of Telugu cinema. Soundarya is one actress who is loved and admired equally by everyone, without any exceptions. Though she was a Kannadiga she pulled it off perfectly on Telugu screen. She acted in various Telugu, Tamil, Malyalam, Kannada and Hindi films summing up to almost 100 films. Sadly, in a shocking incident of a plane crash, she passed away while campaigning for a political party in 2004 near Bangalore. IQlik movies here, unveils some of the interesting facts about her that you might want to know.

Daughter of a Kannada producer and writer K. S. Satyanarayana, whose birth name was Sowmya. While pursuing M.B.B.S., she was offered a role by her father in a Kannada film named "Gandharva”. Later, she was introduced to the Telugu screen with the movie "Manavarali Pelli”. That was when she changed her name from Sowmya to Soundarya.

Soundarya got a huge break in Tollywood with the film Ammoru. She acted in many Telugu films, which form the majority of her films. Ironically, out of all the films she acted, there are not more than 10 films in her mother tongue Kannada.

She was famously referred to as Manisha baby, as she did the maximum number of films under Manisha Films.
