Not even that silly facebook movie that came out few years ago. Have to disagree. This show comes real close to the work culture and life and has been even termed as microcosm of the same. Movie had more to do with Zuck than anything else and hence not a valid comparison

None of them are actually interesting. They don't grow beyond the stereotypes. The product itself is way behind the curve :) But its definitely funny, and sometimes entertaining. But I suspect, not so much for a tech founder. That movie on zuckerberg was a disgrace. Have you seen 'pirates of silicon valley' yet? Now, that is one exciting piece of silicon valley history. Gives me goosebumps every time I watch the opening scene, although I know that 1 min later, Ridley Scott will be taking the piss out of Steve Jobs there.

Both are completely different and Pirates is way too good I was comparing Social Network vs Silicon Valley and just pointing out that the former doesn't represent the valley as such. The show isn't being forward thinking or anything of such sorts and isn't expected to stay that way. It is just a satirical take on tech caricatures and puts up a paints a pretty darn picture at that. It doesn't revolutionize the viewers in any way

Silicon valley TV series takes on present culture that is overwhelming silicon valley with subtle humor.I like the way it shows power hungry VCs where everyone wants a piece of the pie of disruptive tech.

I was hoping for the show to glean into the new female CEO's character a little more and mock the pay judgement issue in the news a few weeks ago. Felt like they missed a great opportunity there. Anyway, the show is pretty good and has great potential yeah ellen pao's case . The Female CEO's part in the show just started right ? ... maybe the'll take a subtle a dig at it in the future , let's see ...

Ya, hoping for more of those digs to happen and not just make the new lady CEO just plain obnoxious

Latest sode with the Pied Piper team and VC interaction scenes are too close to reality, although some are a little overboard
