timmy Posted April 24, 2015 Author Report Posted April 24, 2015 The Central government has made it clear by announcing that it is not going to accord special status to AP or any other state. This has been announced by the planning minister Indrajeet in the Lok Sabha. The minister said that other 11 states who have been availing the special status will continue to enjoy the status in future as well. He has also highlighted the recommendations of the 14th finance commission in this regard.

He suggested that Chandrababu should stop touring various countries and focus more on the state. He has also lambasted at Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu saying that his comments in Rajya Sabha last year claiming AP will acquire special status for 10 years also went in vain.

Speaking to media on Friday, CPI secretary has alleged that BJP has revealed its true colour in the context of its commitments towards AP. He has reminded Venkaiah Naidu's statements in the Rajya Sabha last year and criticised him for his failure and negligence. He has demanded the resignation of Venkaiah Naidu and at the same time faulted Chandrababu's government also.

In Vijayawada at Congress party office, the party leaders and activists have expressed their ire against Chandrababu Naidu and BJP alleging that they have back stabbed AP. Former Congress MLA Malladi Vishnu has lashed out at Chandrababu saying that he has eyed on himself only ignoring the concerns of people.
