AP Minister Prathipati Pulla rao has initiated efforts to climbing down of Sanjeeva rao from the top of the BSNL tower here. Pulla Rao, accompanied by MLA Ananda Rao and top officials, reached the 300 ft BSNL cell tower this evening and spoke to Sanjeeva rao who was staging a sit-in protest on top of the tower seeking immediate granting of special status to AP.

 

" We are holding discussions with the Centre on special status to the state. The centre never said that special status won't be granted to our state. we are speaking to the Centre on the issue," the Ministers told the protestor.

 

However, Sanjeeva Rao remained adamant and continued to demand that the Centre first announce special status to the state.

 

Meanwhile, Sanjeeva Rao's wife Kavita has demanded the Government to negotiate with her husband for his safe climbing down.
