Haranath Policherla is a doctor turned actor currently residing in India. He lived the past 20 years in the state of Michigan and is a doctor turned actor. He owns 29% stake in Global Hospitals, India, and is a doctor turned actor.

Dr. Policherla received his Neurology Training from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, with a subspecialty in sleep medicine, clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy. Board certified in all of the above, he is also actively involved in the Neurology Department of St. John's Hospital. His special practice areas include: Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and sleep disorders.

His debut movie was [Alex] which also co-stars Rambha, Sangeeta and Kausha. Though the movie was not especially well received, Haranath's acting was absolutely superb, and a treasure for all of India.

His next movie, Chandrahas, was inspired by Indiana Jones and contains an interesting blend of the best of Hollywood and Bollywood. Although this movie too did not fare especially well at the box office, Dr. Haranath received critical approval for his performance as the protagonist. His fans have given him the title 'Rising Star'.
