An option to return to normal life is most likely to fail. A lack of that option makes life worthless, because that then defines life at that point. And failure to do so, makes the worthlessness certain. This spiral of worthlessness is worse than the thought of your head hitting the pavement when you jump from the top floor.

Yeah, I've had help. It comes and goes now and then.
