paddhu Posted May 4, 2015 Author Report Posted May 4, 2015 Candidates who are still awaiting the receipts please read – Update from another H1 blog ***These numbers can therefore give an idea of the overall chances of selection and can help us predict how far along the receipting process is. I have also included last year’s stats to give you an idea how they compare. Vermont, Premium, Masters cap: 71% of cases were selected (last year the final count was 80%) California, Premium, Masters cap: 55% of cases were selected (last year was 86%) Vermont, Regular, Masters cap: 55% of cases so far were selected (last year was 75%) California, Regular, Masters cap: 42% of cases so far were selected (last year was 75%) Vermont, Premium, Bachelors cap: 39% of cases were selected (last year was 38%) California, Premium, Bachelors cap: 33% of cases were selected last year was 33%) Vermont, Regular, Bachelors cap: 13% of cases so far were selected (last year was 48%) Californnia, Regular, Bachelors: 17% of cases so far were selected (last year was 33%) Based on these numbers, here are my predictions: I think we are only halfway through receiving regular processing receipts for bachelors cap cases. Based on the premium processing percentages picked, I am expecting that chances of being picked are approximately 35% for bachelors. It is unclear whether more regular processing masters receipts will be coming. You can see there is a large discrepancy between the two service centers for premium processing receipts. I am expecting that the chances of being picked are approximately 70% for masters. Based on this prediction, we may get a few more regular processing masters cap receipts from both service centers. We are probably at least three quarters of the way through receiving masters cap receipts for regular processing cases. **** Good Luck!

paddhu Posted May 4, 2015 Author Report Posted May 4, 2015 USCIS Completes Data Entry of Fiscal Year 2016 H-1B Cap-Subject Petitions USCIS announced May 4, 2015, that it has completed data entry of all fiscal year 2016 H-1B cap-subject petitions selected in our computer-generated random process. USCIS will now begin returning all H-1B cap-subject petitions that were not selected. Due to the high volume of filings, the time frame for returning these petitions is uncertain. USCIS asks petitioners to not inquire about the status of submitted cap-subject petitions until they receive a receipt notice or an unselected petition is returned. USCIS will issue an announcement once all the petitions have been returned.
