Rajamouli Is Changing Rules Of Book

Recommended Posts

What is a movie's first look? "A set of posters featuring the hero if its a hero centric movie, or a heroine if its a woman centric flick".

If we keep on coming up with such posters centred around heroes and heroines, when will we see content oriented films and posters. For example in Hollywood, first look posters of most biggies talk about the content inside. They release conceptual posters. Only after carrying that concept deep into people, actors will be revealed. Seems like Telugu directorial giant Rajamouli is now changing rules of book in Tollywood to bring that 'content-based' publicity to our tinsel town.

Unlike releasing some posters of Prabhas or Rana where the lead men flex their muscles, roaring at their enemies, spilling blood and breathing fire, "Bahubali: The Beginning" has seen an infant pushed out from the sea, exposed to sky for breathing and to face reality. Even the second poster of the film, showcasing Prabhas as Sivudu, spoke about the content, the character of the lead guy rather than flattering fans with heroism.

If all the makers try to promote their content rather than heroes or heroism, surely Tollywood will see a revolution. Content based promotion excites audiences to come to theatres irrespective of the star-cast and that helps movies fetch decent collections. Whether big budgeted or small budgeted, conceptual publicity raises hype and expands the reachability of a flick. With most cinema lovers being literate, Rajamouli's untold plan is going to change the way they look at films.

And if a  Telugu film is having a release in Tamil and Hindi simultaneously, who needs to worry about recovering the budgets? Conditions apply however, as strong content is needed inside for this conceptual publicity and to release in many tinsel towns at once

Nee bondha raa ................... nee bondha....

Akkada content based publicity tho buddodi poster release cheesthe,SSR ki narakam choopinchaaru.

Andhuke ventane, Prabhas poster release cheesukunnadu.

Also all the previous posters of Bahubali involved only actors.

'Rajamouli changingbook rules..' ane antha goppaga yeemi peekaledhu manodu.

Student No.1, Sye, Simhadri -> All labour lathcore movies.

chatrapati -> ok, normal masala

Magadheera -> Might be different from lot but largely been successful for that 100 men fight (which was already outdated in Hollywood)

Maryada Ramanna -> No need to talk about this. When you compare 1920's 'Our Hospitality' with this, that was a better movies by 100 times given the limitation of technologies that time.

Eega -> Good for Indian Cinema, but Hollywood movies tho compare cheseantha scene vindha?

Simply mind blowing....asaalu concept-based ante ala vundaali....

Atuvantidhi yeppatikaina mana Indian Directors theeyagalara?

Asalu concepts and ideas gurunchi maatlaade hakku manavaallaku ledhu..

Still we encourage Telugu cinema because of its Language, Comedy, Songs....but not for 'Concept'
