Walcommon Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 Farmer Attempts Suicide in AP CM's Meeting May 6th, 2015, 09:00 PM IST A farmer's suicide attempt in front of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has shocked everyone present at the venue. Chandrababu Naidu was presiding over a meeting arranged at Narsipuram, Vijayanagaram when the incident took place. Supposed to be the launch event of 'Neeru - Chettu' program taken up by AP government, the event ended with a controversial act of farmer Ramu. Ramu is a small farmer from Chinna Bhogili village and he is said to be harassed by the local Revenue Officials. With no alternative left, he has consumed the powerful pesticide at the event and was screaming for justice. With no ambulance vehicle available at the venue, Ramu was rushed to the local hospital in an auto that's readily available there. Ramu is said to be currently fighting for his life. When asked for the reason behind his suicide attempt, his village men disclosed the torturous acts of local VRO and explained how he troubled Ramu by not giving back his land's pass book. When informed about this, Chandrababu has ordered for an immediate inquiry and assured that the justice will be done in a couple of days.
