ARYA Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Giving wings to AP’s growth!By building multiple airports in the State, CBN aims to boost regional accessibility and social expansion, enhance tourism prospects and drive local and regional economies.CBN’s cabinet has taken the decision to set up an international airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district. The airport will not only have massive economic impacts in terms of direct and indirect, but will also serve as strategic catalyst, improving business efficiency in the Vizag corridor. An aviation academy, maintenance and repair facilities would also be set up there. Five other airports would also be set up at Vinukonda (Guntur Dist.), Dagadarthi (Nellore Dist.), Orvakallu (Kurnool Dist.), Tadepalligudem (West Godavari Dist.) and Kuppam (Chittoor Dist.). The new airport terminal building at Tirupati would be inaugurated in July and the Rajahmundry airport would soon have night-landing facility.
