The title of the press release says “Sri Nara Lokesh met with Barack Obama, President of the United States at Port Land.” The title gives the impression that it is a meeting between two heads of State. And it is not exactly a meeting either. Lokesh just bought the chance to shake hands with Obama by paying ten thousand dollars to the fund raising event. Since the President can’t just shake the hands of the donors and ask them to leave, he asks a few courtesy questions of the donors as briefed by his aides. Reportedly, Obama asked Lokesh to convey his wishes to Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh briefed Obama on the smart city projects in AP. Thankfully, the press release stopped at that. But it would have come as no surprise if they had also written that Obama said that he was a huge fan of NTR, that he had watched ‘Legend’ and thoroughly enjoyed Balayya’s acting and was also looking forward to the release of ‘Lion’.
