Love man oka doubt, na H1 approve ayyi oct 1st is the start date anuko how soon I can transfer my H1.? Can I initiate the process in themonth of september itself. Excuse me if it is a dumb question.

You can do before Oct1st also. I have transferred one in 2013 before Oct1 when he was on OPT(fyi)

The petition can be transferred before Oct 1st. But the transferred petition will also be effective only after Oct 1st and you cannot work for the new employer in H1B status before Oct 1st

I dont know what's ur case but Microsoft lawyer itself told I have to wait till October and immediately they filed a new case instead of transfer. At that time no lottery so. I won't think ppl atleast there are so dumb to not know.. again your mileage may vary...
